The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed in regards to the large quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional read more office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support issue created for intervention experiences a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to permit the servicing of all buyers and improve access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
